As a local, home-based business, we’re big on supporting other small businesses in our community. That’s why we take extra care to make sure we put Simcoe County first when purchasing supplies. Our extremely popular Italian meringue buttercream icing uses fresh butter from the Alliston Creamery, and we frequent the Barrie Farmer’s Market to keep our eyes peeled for other yummy local ingredients.
Other non-consumables like our business cards are made by a small, locally owned business right here in Barrie – Georgian Copy & Printers.
When items we need aren’t available locally, we take the next step out — starting first in Ontario, and then looking Canada-wide. Our buttermilk comes from the Kawartha Dairy Company in Peterborough, the sugar we use is refined right here in Ontario, and the flour comes from wheat grown in the Canadian prairies before being processed in Ontario. All the berries we use are exclusively Canadian.
We believe wholeheartedly in keeping commerce inside our borders when possible. This is a great nation, and a wonderful community that we are committed to supporting.
As part of our commitment to supporting local, we also are big on local charities. Here are a few of the charities and causes we’ve had the opportunity to support.

Family of Steve Bolton – Celebration of Life Benefit
